What is Crude Oil?

Crude oil is a naturally occurring petroleum product composed of hydrocarbon deposits and other organic materials. A type of fossil fuel, crude oil is refined to produce usable products including gasoline, diesel, Jet Fuel and various other forms of petrochemicals.

Light crude oil is liquid petroleum that has a low density and flows freely at room temperature. It has a low viscosity, low specific gravity and high API gravity due to the presence of a high proportion of light hydrocarbon fractions.

What is Jet Fuel (aviation fuel)?

Jet fuel is a clear to straw-colored fuel, based on either an unleaded kerosene (Jet A-1), or a naphtha-kerosene blend (Jet B). Similar to diesel fuel, it can be used in either compression ignition engines or turbine engines.

What is Diesel?

Diesel fuel, combustible liquid used as fuel for diesel engines, ordinarily obtained from fractions of crude oil that are less volatile than the fractions used in gasoline. In diesel engines the fuel is ignited not by a spark, as in gasoline engines, but by the heat of air compressed in the cylinder, with the fuel injected in a spray into the hot compressed air.

EN 590 standard: 2004—Sulfur limits of 50 ppm (so called Euro 4) and 10 ppm (Euro 5) as regulated by Directive 2003/17/EC. FAME content of 5%.

What is LPG?

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a fossil fuel, just like natural gas and crude oil. LPG never occurs on its own, and you will only be able to find it naturally in combination with either natural gas or crude oil. LPG is a by-product that only emerges when these fuels are processed. Also, denoted as just propane or butane, are both flammable hydrocarbon gases used as fuel for LPG heating gases, cooking and vehicular fuel.

What is LNG?

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) has been made over millions of years of transformation of organic materials, such as plankton and algae. Natural gas is 95% methane, which is the cleanest fossil fuel. The combustion of natural gas primarily emits water vapour and small amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2). Natural gas is extracted from fields  predominantly located in countries such as Qatar, Algeria, Russia, Norway, Nigeria and the USA.
